YING LI

BIOGRAPHY

The Mezzo-soprano Ying Li was born in China, she discovered music with the piano at the age of 6 years and then she started singing studies in 2002. She joined the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris in 2008. She studied singing with Robert Dumé and Anna-maria Miranda and perfected on “stage research” with Mireille Larroche and “role studies” with Nina Uhari. In 2015 she obtained a Higher Diploma of Concert Artist with “unanimity laude” and a Higher Diploma in Chamber Music.

Ying Li already has a rich professional experience: in 2012 for example, she was Mallika in Leo Delibes LAKME at the theater of Lille. In 2014, the Child and the Spells of Maurice Ravel at Festival in Belgium and has also played many roles, including Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro or Alcina at theater in China.

Recently she attended Public Master Classes with Karine Deshayes and Vincent Le Texier

Winner of several national competitions, honor prize at Leopold bellan competition, 1st prize of lyrical singing competition Emma Calvé, Ying Li performs regularly as soloist with orchestra, and chamber music.
